Privacy
This page explains what happens to your data when you visit gmaudiomixer.com. In short: this site sets no cookies and has no ads. It counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t follow you around, and it loads nothing else from other websites unless you ask for it.
Who runs this site
Lennart Hillen, a game master in the Netherlands, made GM Audio Mixer and runs this site. You can reach him at hello [at] gmaudiomixer [dot] com.
No cookies, no tracking
The site sets no cookies and has no tracking or advertising. It stores one thing in your browser, and only if you choose to show the Ko-fi panel (see below): a note that you did, so the panel shows again straight away during the same visit. Your browser deletes that note when you close the tab.
Visit counts
To see roughly how many people visit and from where, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. A small script from Cloudflare (static.cloudflareinsights.com) reports each page view: the page, the address you came from, your browser and device type, how fast the page loaded, and your country, which Cloudflare derives from your IP address. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and doesn’t build a profile of you or follow you to other websites. Lennart only sees totals, never individual visitors. If your browser or an ad blocker stops the script, the site works the same.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel. The app downloads and some images come from Cloudflare, at download.gmaudiomixer.com. Like any web server, their servers process your IP address and technical details of each request, such as the time, the page or file requested and your browser’s name and version. They keep these logs for a limited time, to deliver the site and the downloads and to protect them against abuse and attacks. Lennart does not use them to identify or follow visitors.
This is based on a legitimate interest: a website and downloads that work and are secure (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
The app itself
GM Audio Mixer runs offline. It has no account and no telemetry, and it makes no network requests.
Tips through Ko-fi
“Toss a coin to your GM” opens a panel on this site. Nothing from Ko-fi loads until you click “Show the Ko-fi panel”. Ko-fi’s panel then loads from ko-fi.com, Ko-fi sets its own cookies, and Ko-fi processes your tip under its own privacy policy. You can also open ko-fi.com in a new tab instead.
Payments are handled by PayPal, under PayPal’s own privacy statement. If you send a tip, Lennart receives the details Ko-fi and PayPal pass on, such as your name, email address, the amount and your message. He uses them only to keep track of tips and for his records, for example for taxes.
Data outside the EU
Vercel and Cloudflare are based in the United States, and Ko-fi and PayPal may also process data there. These transfers rely on the safeguards those companies provide, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask Lennart which personal data he has about you, and ask him to correct or delete it. You can also object to its use or ask him to limit it. Write to hello [at] gmaudiomixer [dot] com. For the hosts’ logs and for tips, you can also contact Vercel, Cloudflare, Ko-fi or PayPal directly.
If you think your data is not handled correctly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
